Richard XuDirector, Compliance

Richard Xu is based in Shanghai,  joined Warburg Pincus in 2020 as the Compliance Director for China and Southeast Asia. He is also the Chief Compliance Officer of the RMB Fund Manager. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Richard was a Vice President, Board Secretary and Assistant General Counsel at JP Morgan Chase Bank, and a Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Legal Counsel at Royal Bank of Scotland in Shanghai.  Richard also spent several years as a Corporate Attorney for Sullivan & Cromwell, Mallesons Stephen Jaques, and DLA Piper. Richard received a L.L.B. from Renmin University School of Law, and a L.L.M. specialized in Corporate Law from New York University School of Law. Richard is a member of the New York Bar and has passed the PRC Bar exam.
