Geeta Karani joined Warburg Pincus in 2004 and is based in Mumbai. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Geeta was with Mckinsey & Co. for six years where she set up and expanded the Mumbai office as the Head of Administration. Prior to that, she was with the Orkay Group of Industries for 18 years and headed their Import & Export & Licensing & Admin. From 1978 to 1980 she worked with the Taj Group of Hotels and Big I Travels in New Zealand. Geeta holds an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and a BA with honors in French and Psychology from Mumbai University.
