Dirk Wössner is a Senior Vice President on the Value Creation team. He is based in Berlin and joined Warburg Pincus in 2024 after previously working with the firm as a Senior Advisor. Dirk is an experienced executive with a broad history of leadership roles. He served as CEO of Compugroup Medical SE and prior to that, as CEO of Deutsche Telekom`s German business and Vice President of Bitkom, Germany’s IT Industry Association. From 2015 to 2017, he was President of the Consumer Business Unit at Rogers Communications in Toronto, Canada. Prior to that, he held various key roles within Deutsche Telekom group, including EVP of Sales and SVP of Wholesale in Telekom Germany and Sales Operations Director at T-Mobile UK. Dirk began his career in 1997 at McKinsey & Company in Munich and Madrid, where he worked in Consulting. Dirk holds a PhD in Chemistry from Humboldt Universität Berlin and is a Non-Executive Director at Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. in Chicago, U.S.
