
Darren TeohDirector, Sustainability Strategy
Darren Teoh is based in Singapore and joined Warburg Pincus in 2025 as the Director of Sustainability Strategy. In this role, Darren is responsible for advancing the firm’s sustainability and ESG efforts in real estate, as well as supporting broader sustainability initiatives across the firm’s APAC investments, as focus on these topics continues to grow.
Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Darren was the Vice President of Group Sustainability at CapitaLand Investment Limited (CLI) in Singapore, where he led ESG strategy implementation across private equity real assets portfolios and international asset portfolios, with a focus on decarbonization efforts. Before CLI, he served as Head of Sustainability in Real Assets at AMP Capital Investors in Sydney, Australia, where he successfully delivered two net-zero carbon real estate portfolios with an AUM of approximately AUD10 billion in 2021. He also has extensive experience as a mechanical and Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) engineering consultant, working on projects across APAC.
Darren is an active contributor to the sustainability industry, participating in thought leaderships, speaking engagements, and industry working groups. In 2021, he was recognized as a Green Star Champion by the Green Building Council of Australia.
He holds an MBA from the University of Queensland, Australia and a B. Eng (Hons.) Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia.
