Alain Belda is based in São Paulo and joined Warburg Pincus in 2009. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Belda retired from Alcoa in 2008, after serving as President and Chief Executive Officer from 1999 and Chief Executive Officer and Chairman from 2001. Mr. Belda spent four decades at Alcoa having first joined the organization’s Brazilian affiliate, Alcoa Aluminio in 1969. He is a Director of Petz Center Comércio e Participações S.A., Camil Alimentos S.A., Grupo GPS and Eleva Educação. He also currently serves Chubb as an International Advisory Board Member.
