We are excited to announce that, through the Warburg Pincus Asia Real Estate Fund (“WPARE”), Warburg Pincus will establish a logistics and industrial real estate joint venture – QUBE Industrial with MQ Logistics, one of South Korea’s leading domestic third-party logistics (3PL) operators and warehouse developers. QUBE Industrial will focus on investing in modern logistics warehouses and industrial real estate to capture the attractive opportunities in new economy real estate in South Korea.

We are excited to announce that Jeffrey Perlman, President of Warburg Pincus, has been elected Chairman of the Board of the US-ASEAN Business Council. The US-ASEAN Business Council conducts research and analysis of economic, environmental, financial, political, and social, conditions in the ten countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The Council has become the leading voice of the U.S. private sector in promoting mutually beneficial trade and investment relationships between the U.S. and the ten countries of Southeast Asia.

We recently commemorated our 10-year anniversary of investing in Vietnam. We hosted a reception in Hanoi to celebrate which was attended by Chip Kaye, CEO of Warburg Pincus, Jeffrey Perlman, President of Warburg Pincus, Marc E. Last week we welcomed over 180 leaders from 77 portfolio companies to our annual Warburg Pincus Connect: FLT2: Finance, Legal, Technology, and Talent Leadership Conference in San Diego, CA. The event, which started over 10 years ago, is our largest cross functional event of the year. The conference was a great opportunity for C-level executives across Finance, Technology, Talent, and Legal functions to share lessons learned, gain insights, and network with a group of world class peers.

Warburg Pincus recently enjoyed hosting participants from the SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity) Alternative Investments program for breakfast at our office. It was a fantastic opportunity to discuss our firm’s approach and insights. We also delved into “a day in the life” at Warburg Pincus with insights from our Associates – Madeline Press, Samuel Jacobson, and Mike Hernandez.

Last month, Women@Warburg, our global female focused employee network, hosted their second successful recruiting event at Annabel’s in London. The event was aimed at female professionals with 1-2 years of Investment Banking experience who are considering a move into Private Equity. We had our highest turn out to date, with approximately 35 women, who joined an informative discussion with our talented European colleagues.
