We are excited to announce our investment in Shriram Housing Finance Ltd. (SHF), one of the largest affordable housing finance companies in India. We are looking forward to partnering with the SHF team to continue providing affordable loans across India.

Last week, we hosted 48 High Potential (HiPo) leaders across our U.S. portfolio for our HiPo: Technology Leaders Program in NYC.

In late April, we hosted our Annual Investors Meeting, a day-long event with over 300 global investors in attendance featuring presentations and videos on sectors, portfolio company progress and fund reviews.

We recently hosted a Warburg Pincus Connect Event, convening a variety of talent leaders focused on employee healthcare costs and the impacts on total rewards. Special thanks to our portfolio companies and Quantum Health for hosting the event at their offices in Dublin, Ohio.

Jeffrey Luse, Managing Director at Warburg Pincus, Chet Benham, President & COO of Viridi RNG, and Cody Myers, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Green Rock Energy Partners, recently joined Jill Malandrino on Nasdaq TradeTalks to discuss the monumental shift in the way energy is produced and consumed, the role of regulation and incentives, and why renewable energy is gaining traction with investors.

The US-ASEAN Business Council, an advocacy organization for U.S. corporations operating within the dynamic Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), recently hosted its annual U.S. Ambassadors’ Tour, including The Honorable Heather Variava, U.S. Ambassador to Laos, The Honorable Edgard Kagan, U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia, The Honorable MaryKay Loss Carlson, U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines, and The Honorable Marc Knapper, U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam.

Congratulations to our portfolio company, Epassi, on being named by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies of 2024. This marks the third consecutive year Epassi has made the list, a testament to the company’s hard work and sustained growth.

As part of our Women@Warburg network, we are excited to share our partnership with Synergist Network, a non-profit national network of women in investing, with chapters in NYC, SF, Boston, LA, and Chicago. Synergist aims to connect women in the early stages of their investing careers, providing them with the essential infrastructure, expansive network, and business acumen critical for long-term success.

We are excited to share our investment in Xuyen A, a leading private tertiary general hospital group in Vietnam. Warburg Pincus is one of the largest global private equity investors in Vietnam and this investment in Xuyen A underscores the firm’s focus on the country’s rapidly emerging healthcare sector.

Congratulations to all that participated in the first annual Warburg Pincus x Howard University Case Competition, an educational opportunity for students to explore the world of private equity. Participants were tasked with analyzing a target company and pitching a potential buyout. Warburg Pincus professionals Yoan Dipita N’Komba, Ciara Blackston, and Elijah Pierre (Howard alumnus) traveled to D.C. to act as judges and awarded $20,000 in scholarship prizes to the top three teams.

We were pleased to join Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) and Henry Schein in hosting Deputy Prime Minster Le Minh Khai and his delegation at our offices in NYC to discuss the economic environment in Vietnam. The size and breadth of the U.S. business delegation reflects the growing enthusiasm for investing in Vietnam.

Last week, our women’s network, Women@Warburg and Andrew Sibbald, Managing Director and Co-Head of Europe, brought together some of the most experienced and influential female business leaders in Europe to discuss where we are in the journey for women at work.

Our CEO, Chip Kaye, joined Eneasz Kadziela, CFA, CAIA, Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Head of Private Equity, Office of the New York City Comptroller’s Bureau of Asset Management in a keynote cross conversation at this year’s PEI Nexus Conference.

The two covered a variety of topics, including the current market environment, investing strategy and evaluating risk, public markets, among others.

Deborah Kerr, Managing Director, Co-Head of Value Creation and Ellen Ng, Managing Director, Co-Head of Asia Real Estate, spoke at this year’s With Intelligence Women’s Private Equity Summit.

Deborah participated in a panel focused on value creation within the portfolio, providing key insights on partnering with management teams to grow revenue, drive sustainable operational improvements, and attract and retain top talent.

Warburg Pincus was acknowledged for ‘International Private Equity: Best Exit Performance Of The Year’ in the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA) Excellence Awards.

The award recognizes successful exits implemented by Warburg Pincus in 2023 including Bharti Airtel, CAMS, Fusion Microfinance, IDFC First Bank, Kalyan Jewellers India Limited, and Stellar Value Chain, PVR, through full and partial exits.

Throughout March, we celebrate our female employees and portfolio company executives who shape their industries and communities across the globe.

Our team in Europe celebrated hashtag#InternationalWomen’sDay at the Womankind Worldwide Gala Dinner last night bringing together the private equity ecosystem to support women worldwide.
