IPAN

In 2014, Warburg Pincus invested in IPAN, a fast-growing provider of software and processing services to the intellectual property ecosystem with a blue-chip client base that includes BASF, Philips, Daimler, Honeywell, Tesla, Canon, Novartis, and Siemens. Warburg Pincus’ investment supported the founding management team in its ambitious global expansion strategy. During Warburg Pincus’ investment, IPAN tripled in size and successfully entered the US intellectual property market where it was able to quickly win numerous high-profile clients. Additionally, IPAN successfully completed and integrated three acquisitions of smaller competitors as well as adjacent software providers in a fragmented ecosystem and upgraded its existing intellectual property processing platform. Warburg Pincus exited its investment in 2018.
