Experienced, senior technology specialist and President of SAP HANA Database and Analytics will support Warburg Pincus in identifying new investment opportunities and help portfolio companies accelerate innovation and sales growth
London, 6 May, 2022 – Warburg Pincus, a leading global growth investor, today announced the appointment of Irfan Khan as a Senior Adviser in its Technology group. In his role, Irfan will work with Warburg Pincus and its portfolio companies to accelerate innovation and business growth and to identify and evaluate new investment opportunities in the global technology industry.
Irfan brings more than 25 years of international technology, sales and business growth experience to the firm. Throughout his career, Irfan has held numerous senior leadership positions across a number of core business functions. Irfan spent the last ten years with SAP, where he is currently President of SAP HANA Database and Analytics, with global development and product management responsibilities across the entire SAP HANA Database and Analytics portfolio.
Prior to this role, Irfan was President of SAP’s Platform & Technologies unit where he led global sales and go-to-market strategies for all SAP technology, inclusive of SAP Cloud Platform, Database, data management and analytics assets. Irfan joined SAP through the acquisition of Sybase Inc. where he was Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer. He has spent almost two decades in various executive leadership positions across Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
